2012 registration forms now available!

extended deadline: April 12th

The Chilliwack Schools Garden Program is open to any student (public, independent and home-schooled) from Kindergarten to grade 12 in the Chilliwack School District.

The program has been in existence since 1904 and has around 200-300 student gardeners entered each year. The program is offered at a minimal $2.00 entry fee. The program is run by volunteers and partially funded by local businesses.

Information packages have been revised, and sent out to all registered students! The 2011 documents are also posted to this site. Click on your category from the menu across the top of this page. The Exhibition page has entry forms to this year’s Chilliwack Exhibition (August 5-7).

Jack Kouwenhoeven, one of our Committee’s gardening experts, has set up a blog where he will be providing regular gardening tips to help guide you through the process of soil preparation, planting, and tending to your garden. The blog is up and running already, so please check in regularly, and Jack will help you take full advantage of the weather conditions and your time. You can find him at jacksgardentips.wordpress.com.

This site has taken root, and is, hopefully, growing into a useful tool for our gardening students and families. Check back regularly for more information, photos, contacts and tips to help you get your garden growing. Your feedback on this site is also appreciated.
